After all of the Jim Tressel hooplah, we’re releasing something completely unrelated, as in, the Big XII projections today. Now, with 10 teams, and no championship game, it might be a tad easier to make it to a national championship from now on.
Here are the Big XII projections.
- OU, Missouri, and Oklahoma State are your three big contenders this year.
- Look for Texas A&M to perform under expectation this year. They do have 16 returning starters, but the team over performed by about a win last year. They could be in the Big XII title hunt, but they won’t be the main show.
- Texas underperformed last year by about a win. They should rebound, but don’t look for them to compete for the title this year
- Kansas is really, really bad. They actually outperformed themselves last year, by winning about 1-2 games more than they actually should have. Turner Gill still has a long way to go to get the Jayhawks back to anywhere near a competitive level again.
