2011 Conference Predictions – Big XII

After all of the Jim Tressel hooplah, we’re releasing something completely unrelated, as in, the Big XII projections today. Now, with 10 teams, and no championship game, it might be a tad easier to make it to a national championship from now on.

Here are the Big XII projections.

Notes.

  • OU, Missouri, and Oklahoma State are your three big contenders this year.
  • Look for Texas A&M to perform under expectation this year. They do have 16 returning starters, but the team over performed by about a win last year. They could be in the Big XII title hunt, but they won’t be the main show.
  • Texas underperformed last year by about a win. They should rebound, but don’t look for them to compete for the title this year
  • Kansas is really, really bad. They actually outperformed themselves last year, by winning about 1-2 games more than they actually should have. Turner Gill still has a long way to go to get the Jayhawks back to anywhere near a competitive level again.
