2011 Conference Predictions – Big East

Big East up on deck today, and it might be the most volatile conference I’ve done so far. Let’s just say, you’ll be surprised at how far UConn falls this year.

Here you are.

Notes.

  • I think most are expecting West Virginia to be the Big East champs in 2011, and it bears out here
  • Would you look at the 5th spot in the league. Yep, UConn was lucky last year to make it to a bowl game, even in a down year. This year, they’ll be fighting it out with 4 other teams for 3rd in the league.
  • 2006 was a golden year for Rutgers. 5 years later, they’re the worst in the league.
  • Louisville is certainly on the rise under Charlie Strong. They could compete for 1st in the Big East in 2012, but for this year, they could finish a solid 3rd.
